HGZZ
As the organisational hub, HGZZ coordinates the further development of the Zurich Centre university district. Until now, progress on the construction work has been reported in Word documents – a laborious, manual process for project managers, portfolio managers and all those involved. The solution was originally developed by Simplificator. Since Renuo acquired Simplificator, we have taken over direct management of the Cockpit.

Record, check, approve
Project managers use an online form to record and update their project status on a quarterly basis. Thanks to a Word-like tracking function, the portfolio manager can spot changes immediately and either accept or reject them. Different access rights apply depending on the user group.
Dependencies at a glance
All projects, including their dependencies and status, are displayed in an HGZZ-specific Gantt chart, which can be printed directly as a PDF if required. The electronic archiving system ensures a clear overview of future quarterly financial statements.
Software beyond code
Taking on a project means thoroughly understanding someone else’s code before developing it further. Technical expertise alone is not enough; it also requires tact and sensitivity when dealing with the existing team and the expectations of everyone involved. As for the cockpit itself, none of this was noticeable: it continues to run reliably, just as before.
